Earwax is produced to keep your ears clean and germ-free. There are many reasons why you might have an excessive quantity of earwax.
These include having narrow or hairy ear canals, using earplugs or hearing aids or your age. You may also find that you naturally have more ear wax.
You can experience symptoms such as:
Micro suction is the most modern, advanced, safest, and pain free form of ear wax removal treatment available today.
The micro suction procedure is carried out using a high grade surgical microscope to magnify and illuminate the ear canal and ear drum, allowing our experienced technician to observe every part of the outer ear in high definition. This ensures the wax is removed with maximum precision and care, without the need for syringing or water irrigation.
Because the process is clear, controlled and non invasive, it is suitable for most patients including those with sensitive ears, previous ear problems, or repeated wax build up. A personal monitor is also available, allowing the patient to view the procedure if they wish.
Micro suction is a safe, hygienic and highly effective method of earwax removal, performed using a specialist low pressure ENT suction device.
The procedure is carried out by our experienced and qualified technicians, who carefully remove built up wax in a controlled and non invasive way.
It is adviseable to use olive oil drops for 2 to 3 nights to soften the wax beforehand. Please avoid ear drops or products containing sodium bicarbonate or hydrogen peroxide.
Even stubborn or impacted wax can usually be removed first time and without pain, and in most cases one micro suction treatment is all that is required.
